Greg McElroy has a message for those frustrated with Ryan Williams’ drop in the win over Georgia: “Guys drop passes.”
The former Alabama quarterback, during “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning,” made it very clear the receiver is still going to be targeted.
“You have to take the good and the bad sometimes when you have a guy with that much skill, potential, ability and puts that much fear in a defense,” McElroy explained. “I could care less about the drop downfield.”
The SEC Network analyst compared Williams to former NFL and Alabama star Julio Jones.
“He led our team in drops in 2008 and 2009,” McElroy said. “Guy could play some freakin’ football, though.”
