It’s Parish Fair week, so there are five Thursday night games this week.

But I would be remiss if I didn’t take a look back at what was an incredible Week 4 for football in the city of Slidell. The Camellia City was 4-0 on the gridiron last Friday.

After District 7-5A went 0-for against District 6-5A last season, the eastern half of St. Tammany got some revenge. It all started at L.V. McGinty Sr. Stadium.

Slidell was good against Mandeville. There was no two ways about it. The Tigers forced a turnover on the opening drive and capitalized with an 11-play scoring drive. A big play before halftime gave the home team the momentum, and they maintained that advantage with another big offensive play to answer Mandeville’s first TD drive.

It was the statement win that Slidell needed after winn
