Steinbach City Council has given third and final reading to its updated Official Community Plan, following approval from the provincial Minister of Municipal Affairs. The minister’s sign-off allowed the city to complete the formal process and finalize the five-year planning document that sets the direction for the city’s growth and development.

Planning for the next five years

Deputy Mayor Michael Zwaagstra says the document provides overall direction for the city and is regularly reviewed.
