When is a school too small to field a football team? Just ask Tiverton

The switch has been turned off on Friday night lights in Tiverton this fall.

Now the question is whether the lights will return.

The Tiverton football team entered the season with a 25-player roster that had 12 freshmen and three players with varsity experience. Injuries hit the Tigers hard during their 49-0 loss to Hope in Week 1, leaving the program with a difficult decision: Try to play games with a roster of players still learning the game or punt on the season altogether.
