Outgoing Vice President Michael Usi has officially handed over office to his successor, Jane Ansah, following her election alongside President Peter Mutharika in the September 16 general elections.
During the handover ceremony, Usi shared transition notes with Ansah to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities. He pledged his full support and availability should the new vice president require any guidance or assistance.
“I remain available to support you whenever needed,” Usi said, emphasizing his commitment to a peaceful and cooperative transition.
In response, Vice President Ansah commended Usi for his statesmanship and grace in the handover process, describing his gesture as a mark of “patriotism and maturity.”
