COVENTRY, R.I. (WLNE) — Councilors and community members in Coventry will convene for a special meeting tomorrow with pivotal conversations expected regarding town leadership.

On the agenda, councilors will discuss terminating Town Solicitor Stephen Angell, who’s been at the center of controversy regarding redacted invoices in the handling of Johnson’s Pond.

They’ll also discuss an audit of the invoices between the town and the solicitor’s law firm; changing town leadership, with Hillary Lima currently serving as town council president ; and the rules that will govern the town council as they move forward in the 2025 -2027 term.

This special meeting is set for tomorrow night at 6, in the Coventry Town Council chambers.
