Hyderabad: India reported 86,420 cases of cybercrimes during the year 2023 and the number is increasing year after year. While in 2021 the citizens reported 52,974 cases, the following year the figure was 65,893 cases, while in 2023 it stood at 86,420, according to the National Crime Records Bureau data.

Telangana stood second in the country with citizens reporting 18,236 cases of cybercrime, such as OTP frauds, online banking frauds, ATM frauds, crimes against women etc, while Karnataka topped with 21,889 cases booked during the year.
