Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, Pennsylvania, just got a whole lot cuter.

Zookeepers are celebrating their newest star, a one-month-old sloth born to their beloved resident, Beanie.

The adorable new sloth is being called Beanies Baby until the veterinary team can confirm the baby’s gender, which doesn't typically happen until the one-year mark.

“Beanie is a fantastic mom, and the baby is thriving—eating well, clinging closely, and hitting all the right early milestones. We’re excited for guests to see those quiet, up-close moments that make sloths so special," said Michele Goodman, Director of Animal Care.

The baby will make its public debut on Wednesday, October 1, inside Harmony Hideaway at Elmwood
