A 23-year-old woman cyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run in Waterloo.
Waterloo Regional Police said the collision occurred on Tuesday, at about 10:45 p.m., when the cyclist was hit by a vehicle while in the area of Albert Street and Seagram Drive. The driver of the vehicle left the scene.
While the woman’s injuries are serious, they are considered non-life-threatening, police said.
Police the vehicle involved is a newer Mercedes SUV.
