Tamika Upton has celebrated an NRLW first, winning the Dally M Medal for the second time.

The award makes her the first female to win it twice.

In the final round, Upton's teammate Julia Robinson drew level with her on 32 points. However, Upton polled three points and moved ahead of her to 35. Advertisement

Knights halfback Jesse Southwell was third on 31 points.

Upton was complimentary of her teammate on the podium, saying "she deserved it as well".

The fullback returned to the Brisbane Broncos this season after leaving the Knights. She will play in the grand final against the Sydney Roosters.
