At least 1,500 residents in and near Westminster lost power Tuesday night after a car crashed into an electrical box, police said.

Westminster officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on northbound Federal Boulevard at 81st Avenue, north of U.S. 36, according to a 9:43 p.m. statement from the police department on social media.

No serious injuries were reported, but one of the drivers struck an electrical box, police said. One driver fled the scene on foot and had not been found as of Wednesday morning.

At one point, at least 1,502 Xcel customers across Denver, Federal Heights, Arvada and Westminster were without power, according to reporting from Denver7 .

All outages were resolved by Wednesday morning, according to the utility’s outage map .
