BAGALKOT: Three people have been arrested by the Navanagar police for waylaying a motorist and robbing him of gold ornaments and cash at Sector 93 in Unit 2. The arrested are Sachin Bhajantri, Prabhakar Bhajantri and Anil Bhajantri.

Parashuram Biradar, a resident of Vijayapura, was waylaid by the trio when he was going in his car and robbed. He had immediately lodged a complaint with the Navanagar police stating that the trio had come on a motorcycle.

Within 12 hours of the incident, the police nabbed the trio and seized a 14 gm gold ring, cash of Rs 32,000 and another Rs 20,000 which had been transferred online.
