Metrolink and L.A. Metro are among several public transportation services offering free rides on Wednesday to encourage Southern Californians to choose greener transportation in honor of the 8th annual California Clean Air Day.

"By leaving cars at home and opting to take public transit instead, riders can help cut harmful emissions and improve the region’s air quality," Metrolink stated in a news release.

Wednesday also marks Metrolink's third and final free-ride day of 2025, in which passengers can board any Metrolink or Arrow train and ride for free all day.
