Altadena Valley Park in Vestavia Hills, once an old golf course, is set to undergo significant improvements thanks to a grant exceeding $100,000 to enhance walkways and amenities.

Tiana Jacobs, a frequent visitor, said, "We've seen the progression of where it was not much of a park, it was more of a green space."

"We go down several times a week to ride bikes or to go feed the fish; we love going down there," she added.
