By Daniel Perez, El Paso Matters Wynn Rosser has been involved in all levels of colleges and universities for more than 30 years, but one of the more important things on his mind these days is what is going on in middle schools – or perhaps what is not going on in middle schools. Rosser, the seventh commissioner of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, will be the keynote speaker at the second annual Education Matters Summit in El Paso on Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Starlight Event Center, 6650 Continental Drive. About 125 elected officials, business leaders, teachers and education administrators are expected to attend.
