ROCKFORD, Ill. — There was a fire at a local fast-food restaurant on Tuesday.
Around 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 30, the Rockford Fire Department was called to the McDonald's at 1441 Kishwaukee St. for reports of a structure fire. First responders discovered a fire that had started on the outside of the building had spread inside, causing smoke in the building.
Firefighters opened up the wall and extinguished the fire. It caused about $10,000 in damages.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and there were no reported injuries.
