Jennifer Jackson earned her first World Championship medal on Sept. 9, a bronze in the Women Elite XCC (short track) race at the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships.
"We raced in Zermatt, Switzerland, which is a beautiful but extremely inconvenient place to visit," Jackson joked following the event.
"The World Championships is a stand-alone event for us and the podium is everything so there could not have been a better time to finally crack the top three and earn a medal."
The 30-year-old Maple Bay resident was also a part of Team Canada for the relay event, which finished fourth, coming up just short in a sprint finish.
"I rode the fifth of sixth legs, and moved us from outside one minute to within eight seconds for our anchor leg," she said.
