A reward is being offered by the City of Torrington for information about a recent fire at a vacant factory.

The city says it is seeking the public's help in identifying anyone responsible for the fire that happened shortly after midnight on Sunday at the Stone Container commercial property on Summer Street.

Fire officials said three buildings burned and a significant portion of the property was damaged.

"If you have any information—no matter how small—that could assist in this investigation, we strongly encourage you to come forward," the city said in a Facebook post.

The reward is up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest, conviction or prevention of an arson fire.
