Our provincial government has announced funding to support communities impacted by wildfires this year.
The 2025 Wildfire Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) Program has been launched. Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Lisa Naylor says the program is intended to help municipalities recover from the devastating impacts of this year's unprecedented wildfire season.
"This has been the most severe wildfire season in Manitoba's history, and our government is committed to supporting municipalities as they work to recover," says Naylor. "Lives have been lost, families displaced, and communities deeply affected. Our government stands with Manitobans during this difficult time and is committed to helping municipalities rebuild and recover."
