DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Walter the guinea pig from the Scovill Zoo visited the WAND news studio on October 1.

Walter is an ambassador at the zoo and is used for education. He is 3 years old, fully grown. Guinea pigs come in a variety of colors and are common pets. They can live to about 8 years old.

The Scovill Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
