A Baton Rouge man is wanted after allegedly breaking into a woman's residence through her window, raping her and keeping her from calling for police.

Ridell Lambert, 37, has a warrant issued for his arrest on a count each of first-degree rape, aggravated burglary and interfering with emergency communication.

Baton Rouge Police officers originally responded to a burglary call from a woman's apartment in Mid-City North at approximately 3 a.m. on Sept. 8.

Over the phone, the woman told the operator that someone was trying to break into her apartment. According to Lambert's arrest warrant, a male voice can be heard on the line as the woman screams, "Stop."
