A Midlothian man has been rushed to hospital following a crash at a busy roundabout.
The incident, which took place on the Hardengreen Roundabout near Dalkeith at around 5.05pm, saw the emergency services in attendance.
A picture taken from the scene shows a car that appears to have crashed into a support pillar for the Hardengreen Viaduct.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a one-vehicle crash at the Hardengreen Roundabout on the A7, Dalkeith, around 5.05pm on Wednesday, 1 October, 2025.
“Emergency services attended and one man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
