DA: Aliquippa student fired at vehicle officers were in prior to agent returning fire

BEAVER, Pa. —

The Beaver County district attorney said an 18-year-old Aliquippa student who was fatally shot by a federal agent fired shots at officers first and the shooting was justified.

Pennsylvania State Police say Kendric Curtis was shot after firing a gun toward authorities near Waugaman Street at the Linmar Terrace apartment complex.

According to state police, Curtis fled from authorities while the ATF, FBI and Beaver County Municipal Police Task Force were conducting an investigation.

District Attorney Nathan Bible showed some of the video evidence to community members. Bible said this is not common in an ongoing case, but he wanted to stop narratives that are circulating.
