Late night has become an active front in the culture wars—but Jimmy Fallon would rather stay out of politics. The Tonight Show host has vowed to represent both Democratic and Republican stances during his nightly news-centric monologues—even as President Donald Trump is threatening to silence comedians who speak out against his administration.
