DENVER (KKTV) - The Colorado Rockies announced Wednesday that the team’s General Manager Bill Schmidt had stepped down from his role.
The move comes almost exactly four years to the date that Schmidt stepped into the role on Oct. 2, 2021 after serving as interim general manager for five months before that. He was the fourth general manager in franchise history, and he originally joined the team as a scouting director in 1999, leading that department for more than 20 years.
