When I got pregnant, one of the most exciting but also intimidating things I thought about was breastfeeding and pumping. Beyond the bonding experience, I knew how important it was for health reasons, especially since I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Breastmilk can help lower the risk of both my baby and I developing Type 2 diabetes later in life, which made it even more essential for me to be all in. Still, if you've ever scrolled through breastfeeding content on TikTok, you know just how overwhelming it can be. Between the endless tips, tricks, and passionate opinions and debates on production, schedules, and pumps, I honestly didn't know where to start.
One thing I did know? I was going to be an on-the-go mom.
