SAN JOSE — A significant chunk of land and buildings next to a site where Microsoft is eyeing possible data centers in north San Jose was purchased for $200 million, documents show.
The 46.8 acres of land, near the corner of Trimble Road and Orchard Parkway, was bought in an all-cash deal through an affiliate of Irvine-based Goodman Management USA, a subsidiary of developer Goodman Group, according to documents filed on Sept. 30 at the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
Australia-based Goodman Group is a developer and owner of an array of real estate asset types, including data centers, warehouses, large-scale logistics facilities, and business and office parks.
The property at 350 and 370 Trimble Rd. contains land and some buildings leased to Lumileds. The site is large enough to ac
