MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A person was flown to the hospital after falling on the Billy Goat Trail on Wednesday, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS).

MCFRS stated that crews responded around noon to reports of an injured person on Billy Goat Trail A near the Potomac River in Great Falls, Md.

There, crews found the person who had fallen and used a Medevac helicopter to hoist them to safety.

The person's condition has not been released.
