GRAND FORKS – Every year, Grand Forks School Board members complete a self-assessment, which board President David Berger said is a valuable tool for reflection and improvement.
The assessment is made up of 22 questions in which board members rank the board’s performance based on five different standards: responsible school district governance, communication of and commitment to high expectations, creation of district-wide conditions for student and staff success, district accountability in all areas and engagement of all community members.
Berger said the assessments serve not as isolated check-ins, but hold board members accountable and remind them of their commitments throughout the year.
