NEW YORK (PIX11) — With a prolonged government shutdown looming over the U.S., you may be wondering if your check will still come in the mail.
The New York State inflation refund checks began being mailed out by the state this week to more than 4 million combined New York City and Long Island residents.
There is no set timeline for when checks will be delivered, according to the state’s Department of Taxation and Finance. A spokesperson of the DTF told PIX11 News the checks were sent through the United States Postal Service.
