The short answer is no, you can't.

Recreational use of marijuana has been legal in Michigan since 2018, when voters passed the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act with 56% of the vote.

Before the passage of that law, a person could be sentenced to a year in jail for possessing marijuana, or 90 days for using it. Growing it at home was a felony, punishable with up to 15 years in prison.

Though the law ended the total ban of marijuana use, it did not mean anyone could use the drug at any time, or carry as much as they wanted.

Under the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act , Michigan residents over the age of 21 can use marijuana and can carry up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana, the amount the law deems appropriate for personal use.
