AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Get ready to fire up your appetites — the 29th Annual Good Times Celebration Barbecue Cook-Off returns to Amarillo tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 2 and today is the last day to get discounted tickets.

Hosted by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, the cook-off is one of the city’s largest annual events and networking gatherings.

his year’s celebration kicks off at 5 p.m. and runs through 8 p.m. at the Amarillo Tri-State Fairgrounds, specifically in the Amarillo National Center parking lot.

Attendees can enter and park off 10th or 3rd streets.

The event features more than 95 cooking teams competing in professional, amateur, and corporate divisions, serving up ribs, brisket, and other Texas barbecue staples.

Awards will also be given out for showmanship.
