Tristan Lange didn't start the season at quarterback, instead taking handoffs and picking up yards on the ground as a running back.

But after North Cross struggled through much of the first half of its Aug. 29 game against Trinity Episcopal, he took over as signal-caller and nearly lead the Raiders to a comeback win.

Lange has remained the starting QB ever since, racking up yards and touchdowns in a hurry and leading North Cross (4-1) to a 3-0 record since taking over. Friday was easily his most impressive performance as he collected over 450 yards and totaled six touchdowns as the Raiders routed Blue Ridge 68-6 at Spartan Field in a rematch of last year's VISAA Division II state championship, which the Barons won.
