A 16-year-old girl was critically injured Tuesday afternoon after being shot in Southwest Baltimore.
Baltimore police said they responded to the 3700 block of Harlem Avenue around 3:15 p.m. for a report of a shooting. Once at the scene, officers learned that a victim was driven to an area hospital for treatment.
Upon arrival to the hospital, police located a 16-year-old girl who was shot in the upper body. She was listed in critical condition.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the girl was inside a vehicle when an unidentified person shot at the vehicle, striking her.
