OhioHealth Van Wert to host two health and wellness events for local girls, women in October

VAN WERT, Ohio (WPTA) - OhioHealth Van Wert is set to host two health and wellness events for local girls and women in October.

According to OhioHealth Physician Group, the events will provide valuable information and resources for all different stages of life.

The events are titled “It’s a Girl Thing” and “Listening to Her: A Journey of Time and Change”.

“It’s a Girl Thing” will take place on Thursday, October 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at LifeHouse Church, located at 719 Fox Road.

Organizers say “It’s a Girl Thing” is designed for girls ages 9 to 13 and a trusted friend or their mother, and is focused on ‘navigating the journey to womanhood, covering topics like puberty and other physical and emotional changes’.
