The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League has dropped the “junior” from its name in a rebranding, but so far hasn’t been able to reclassify itself to junior-A from junior-B.
What from now on will be known as the Greater Ontario Hockey League has officially become the first development league of the Ontario Hockey League, one of three major junior organizations under the Canadian Hockey League umbrella.
