ONONDAGA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)—Onondaga Community College marked a milestone on Wednesday, October 1, cutting the "wire" for its new Micron Simulation Lab.
A 3,000-square-foot space filled with machinery for students to learn and prepare before heading into semiconductor and microelectronic careers, like OCC student Nick Hay.
Graduating from Onondaga Central High School in 2018, Nick Hay studied automotive technology at OCC, only to discover in one semester that working on cars was more of a hobby of his rather than a career goal. This realization led him to work as an electronic technician at United Radio for over five years.
