FBI Director Kash Patel announced he had cut the agency's ties with the Anti-Defamation League, or ADL, an international Jewish organization that linked slain MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk to extremism.

In a Wednesday post on X, Patel suggested that the FBI would no longer work with the ADL because former Director James Comey had initiated the cooperation.

"James Comey wrote 'love letters' to the ADL and embedded FBI agents with them - a group that ran disgraceful ops spying on Americans," Patel said. "That era is OVER. This FBI won't partner with political fronts masquerading as watchdogs."

The move came after conservatives pressured the ADL to delete its "Glossary of Extremism" because it included Kirk's Turning Point USA organization.

The ADL described the organization as having ties to "a range of right-wing extremists and has generated support from anti-Muslim bigots, alt-lite activists and some corners of the white supremacist alt-right."

Comey was indicted by the Department of Justice last week for allegedly lying in a Senate hearing. The indictment came days after President Donald Trump urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute him.
