A Western Reserve Academy teacher, who had taught science for about a year at the Hudson boarding school, was terminated from his job after he was named as one of 135 people arrested in a statewide human trafficking sting operation.
Western Reserve Academy officials confirmed that Michael Ford, who had been hired by the high school in July 2024, was fired Sept. 25, a day after his arrest.
Ford, 53, of Cleveland Heights, was arrested by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force on the 9000 block of Route 44 in Shalersville Township. According to court records from the Ravenna Municipal Court, he solicited sex from an undercover officer and was charged with engaging in prostitution, a first-degree misdemeanor.
