The West Shore RCMP is asking the public to keep an eye out for a man who’s suspected of stealing $300-worth of butter from a grocery store in Langford.
The theft occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 24 at a store in the 700 block of McCallum Road.
It was a crime that Greater Victoria Crime stoppers described as “a full-blown cholesterol crisis.”
“You also departed without paying for two packages of paper towel, which tells us one thing: you knew this was going to get messy,” added Crime Stoppers.
“You didn’t just clean out the dairy aisle, you buttered up your escape and then wiped the evidence clean!”
Anyone with information on the theft or the suspect is asked to call the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
