SPIRIT LAKE RESERVATION, N.D. (KMOT) - The Spirit Lake Tribe announced its essential services will continue despite the federal government shutdown.
It says BIA law enforcement, health care and schools will remain fully operational.
The tribe says it prepared for a shutdown by reviewing program budgets and areas that might need supplemental funding.
Programs pertaining to grants and federal funding will be delayed.
Spirit Lake says they have not received any guidance from federal agencies.
