ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions have placed starting cornerback D.J. Reed on injured reserve.
Reed suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s win over the Cleveland Browns. It didn’t take long for trainers to call for the medical cart to help the cornerback off the field. With his move to injured reserve, Reed will miss at least the next four games.
The Lions have remained optimistic that Reed’s hamstring injury isn’t a season-ending issue.
On the bright side, Terrion Arnold was practicing on Thursday. Arnold exited in the third quarter and did not return during the win against the Browns due to a shoulder issue. The second-year cornerback was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice. But any participation should be viewed as good news.
