The Jets could be without running back Braelon Allen for a while.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn described Allen’s knee injury as “pretty serious,” and it appears the second-year running back will eventually be placed on injured reserve.

The team is first waiting on Allen to get a second opinion on his knee.

“We’re still going through exactly how we are going to designate that, so if guys give me a little time with that so we can try and figure that out,” Glenn said on Wednesday. “So we will see exactly where he is going to be when it comes to designating if he’s going to be on IR or not.”
