FREELAND, Pa. — Flames left a home and two garages damaged in Luzerne County.

Crews were called to the fire around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday along Hemlock Street in Freeland.

When they arrived, the back of the home, as well as a detached garage, were on fire. Flames also damaged a garage next door. The fire was under control in about half an hour.

Two people living in the home are now staying with family. Nobody was injured, and the State Police fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause.
