With crowds of smiling faces under sunny skies, organizers of the Chatham-Kent and Lambton Children’s Water Festival are calling this year’s event one of the best in its 14-year history.

During the three days, approximately 2,400 elementary pupils descended this week on C.M. Wilson conservation area, near Blenheim, to learn about the water cycle, aquatic animals, and other related topics.

The festival featured interactive activities covering five water themes: water science, water technology, water conservation, water protection and water attitude.

Speaking Wednesday, Glenn Smith, festival steering committee chair, said he couldn’t have asked for better weather.
