SAN ANTONIO — The popular Eagle Pass casino is planning to open its doors less than a week following a fatal shooting that left two people dead and five others wounded.

Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino announced on Facebook that the casino, which has been temporarily closed since the night of the shooting will reopen Friday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m.

"As we reopen, we are committed to supporting our team, our guests and are grateful for the strength of our community. We look forward to seeing everyone," the casino said in the post.

Authorities said Keryan Jones, a 34-year-old San Antonio man, opened fire outside the casino in Eagle Pass, Texas, late Saturday night, killing, Alicia Sanchez, a mother of five and retired U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent Marcus “Mark” Antley.
