Temperatures climb through Saturday, making one more run at 90 degrees. It is unlikely we reach 90, but the latest 90-degree day was Oct 6, 1963 (92°). There will be a cool-down next week, a fall front will at least drop temperatures closer to normal, 70s and 60s for highs.
Drought will continue to worsen, there is a chance of rain with the coo-down next Tuesday, but at this point nothing of major significance is expected.
