The list of Auburn football’s problems on offense is long after two SEC games, but at the top of that list is the issue of the offensive line.
Auburn gave up a combined 14 sacks in its first two conference games and ran the ball for fewer than 70 yards in both games. That comes just weeks after the Tigers rushed for 307 yards in their season opener against Baylor.
Now, as Auburn regroups during its bye week and prepares for Georgia, head coach Hugh Freeze says the offensive line issues are “on our mind on constantly.”
“This is not the offensive football that I’m used to, nor is anyone else, and it starts up front,” Freeze said on Wednesday. “We have to improve our technique, we have to improve our passion and strain, and we have to improve as coaches.”
