WASHINGTON, D.C. – Levitt has addressed concerns surrounding the treatment of immigrants in the United States, responding specifically to comments made by Pope Leo.

Levitt argued that the issues caused by undocumented immigrants in the past have been more problematic, placing blame on the Biden administration for increased border crossings.

Concerns have been raised about the treatment of immigrants in holding facilities and the lack of due process in deportation proceedings.

Levitt, however, stated that the administration is acting with “absolute humanity and a humane approach” in response to the Pope and others’ comments on the situation.
