CORVALLIS — Loads of Dignity is a Corvallis-based nonprofit providing laundry access to homeless and low-income people in the Bitterroot Valley.

Operating out of the Washboard Laundromat on Main Street in Corvallis, the nonprofit provides around 480 loads monthly to community members facing financial hardship. When Stefani Jackson started the organization in 2019, they were doing around 30.

Jackson said the need continues to rise as more families are displaced due to the local housing crisis, with many now living in vehicles or trailers.

Data recorded in January of 2024 showed that there were 78 people experiencing homelessness in Ravalli County, and 125 recorded homeless people in Ravalli County in the 2023 Point in Time survey.
